Demi Moore‘s jet-black, pin-straight extensions have long been revered as a staple in her iconography — a fixed accessory that completes her overall fashion.

So what would happen if she were to clip those lengthy ends for a much shorter — albeit trendier — cut?

The 63-year-old actress shut down the carpet outside the “La Bola Negra” screening at the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, forgoing her signature hairstyle for an Old Hollywood “lob” (long bob), courtesy of Dimitris Giannetos. Dubbed “De-Marilyn Bob” by Giannetos, the cut was unlike any look she’d sported in the last week and a half, serving as an official jury member of the festival.

Here, WWD takes a closer look at every one of Moore’s beauty moments from the 2026 affair.

Outside the “La Bola Negra” screening, Moore capped her 2026 Cannes beauty book with a bob to remember. Thanks to Giannetos and a kit full of Kérastase products, the actress transformed into a modern-day Marilyn Monroe — bouffant curls, side part and all. The only thing missing was blond hair dye.

For makeup, artist Raoul Alejandre drew black liner in Moore’s waterline, flushed her cheeks and dressed her lips in a pale pink hue. Meanwhile, her eyes were accentuated with stone shadow on the lids and wispy falsies on the top line.

At “The Man I Love” screening on Wednesday, Moore let her signature sleek extensions sashay across her back. But instead of keeping the ends straight, “The Substance” actress opted for baby waves. The natural movement paired well with her achromatic attire.

Off the carpet on Monday, Moore upped the texture in her hair, styling drawn-out curls at The Miracles Gala, presented by Chopard. Here, the apples of her cheeks were embellished with rose-colored highlight, while her bottom lashes were purposely lined with clumpy mascara. At the same time, her lips boasted a faded berry stain.

At the Kering Women in Motion Dinner, the “Striptease” star reverted to her trademark aesthetic with flat-ironed extensions, wispy lash extensions, bottom liner and a subtle pink lip. Her brows were also filled to match the dark hue of her hair.

For the “Paper Tiger” premiere on May 16, Giannetos styled what he described as “disco curls.” Coupled with her torn Matières Fécales gown from the fall 2026 read-to-wear collection, the aesthetic fell within the lines of hyper-feminine, old-school glamour, but with an unsettling edge.

Clad in lavender chiffon by Gucci, Moore donned “steamy glossy waves” by Giannetos. Using Kérastase’s Gloss Absolu Glaze Drops, the artist gave her wavy ends a glass-like finish. At the same time, Alejandre washed her eyes in smudged shadow, dotted her cheeks in coral blush and laid a pale gloss over her lips.
