The movie ‘The Devil Wears Prada’The Devil Wears Prada, the sequel to ‘1’Famous Hollywood actor Anne Hathaway, who is drawing attention as “2” has been released for the first time in 20 years, confessed that her left eye had been virtually blind for 10 years due to early cataracts.

According to the entertainment magazine Me People, Hathaway recently appeared on the New York Times podcast “Popcast” and said, “My left eye has been legally blind for 10 years.”

Hathaway, who suffered from cataracts in his early 30s, confessed, “Because of this, I lived with the loss of my left vision throughout my 30s.”

Cataracts are a disease in which the lens becomes mixed and the field of view becomes blurry. In general, senile cataracts, which lose the transparency of the lens with age, are the most common cause.

Recently, however, the number of cataract patients is increasing even in their 40s.

Removing the turbid lens and inserting the artificial lens is the most obvious treatment option.

Drug therapy is used to slow the progression of cataracts, but it cannot clear the already cloudy lens again.

“I didn’t get surgery until I was 40 years old,” he said, recalling the time, “I didn’t know how serious my condition was until I had surgery.”

“I’ve calmed down a lot (after the surgery),” he said. “I didn’t know that this disease was actually putting a lot of pressure on the eye nervous system.”

“I think it’s a miracle that I can open my eyes every morning and see the world as I see it now,” Hathaway said, expressing gratitude, “I wouldn’t have had that option before.”

Hathaway, who debuted in the entertainment industry through the 17-year-old Fox drama series Get Real, made her name in 2001 through The Princess Diaries.

He gained fame for “The Devil Wears Prada” and appeared in various works such as “Interstellar” and “Intern.”

Recently, “The Devil Wears Prada.”He visited Korea as “2” and drew attention by appearing with Meryl Streep, who played Miranda in the tvN entertainment show “You Quiz on the Block” hosted by Yoo Jae-seok.
