Latham & Watkins partners Alli Stillman, Jonathan West, and Joe Wetzel have been named to The Hollywood Reporter’s 2025 Top Music Lawyers list, recognizing the top music attorneys “that keep the industry turntable spinning.” The annual list showcases attorneys with the most high-profile music clients, who are closing the biggest deals, taking on the most pressing cases, and shaping music’s legal future.

Alli, a copyright litigator in the firm’s Connectivity, Privacy & Information Practice, earned recognition for defending Spotify in a first-of-its-kind copyright lawsuit brought by the Mechanical Licensing Collective, securing a significant win on how royalties are calculated for interactive music service offerings.

Jonathan, a trusted advisor on high-value catalog and licensing strategies, provides music licensing counsel to Apple and e.l.f. Cosmetics, and advises Beyoncé on corporate matters, investments, and protection of her intellectual property and rights of publicity.

Joe, a trial lawyer focused on complex copyright and licensing issues, represents social media platforms and legacy media companies, and is advising leading AI firms, including Suno and Udio, in copyright infringement lawsuits brought by major record labels.

Their work underscores Latham’s leadership at the intersection of music, technology, and media, demonstrating the firm’s strength in delivering results on complex transactions and precedent-setting litigation.
