UPDATED: After providing an early preview of nominations for “The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” via “Extra,” “Entertainment Tonight” and “The View,” The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), governing body behind the awards, announced the full list of daytime drama nominees on Tuesday, with “The Young and the Restless” leading all shows with 18 nominations, followed by “Beyond the Gates” with 15, “General Hospital” with 13, “Days of our Lives” with eight, and “The Bold and the Beautiful” with seven. The daytime special “Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood,” produced by “Entertainment Tonight,” received one nomination, though it is not counted toward the soap opera’s total.

As announced last year, the Daytime Emmys ceremony will continue to take place in October, with this year’s ceremony scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, at the historic Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California, and will once again be a single ceremony, streaming via watch.theemmys.tv and its associated apps, encompassing all categories, including creative.

The ceremony will be produced by NATAS Productions, with Adam Sharp (President and CEO, NATAS) and Lara Gates serving as executive producers, Leon Knoles returning to direct for a fifth straight year, and Rachel Schwartz, Head of Daytime, NATAS, and the firm of Lutz & Carr, LLP, providing accounting services for the competition.

“We’re proud to honor the extraordinary talent and creative teams whose work continues to define and elevate daytime television,” said Adam Sharp. “As the Daytime landscape  evolves and new forms of storytelling emerge, we remain committed to recognizing the innovation happening across the industry.”

“Each year, the Daytime Emmy Awards celebrate the creativity, passion, and dedication that drive this vibrant community of storytellers,” said Rachel Schwartz. “Congratulations to this year’s nominees, whose work continues to entertain, inspire and connect with audiences every day. We look forward to celebrating their remarkable achievements in Hollywood this October.”

This year’s Lifetime Achievement Honoree, Gold & Silver Circle Inductees, and ceremony host will be announced at a later date. Tickets will go on sale September 9, 2026.
