We’re coasting through summer at an impressive clip, and thinking about how we’re standing at the entrance to August can be a bit of a mind-twister.
Movies magically help us weather the passing of time, however, and the films we have all of the feelings about are truly expert in guiding us through the swiftest months of the year.
Cinespia knows how swift a summer can be, and to help cinephiles mark the widely observed end of the season, if not the official conclusion? Two great flicks will shimmer at Hollywood Forever Cemetery over Labor Day Weekend.
These are the final films on the Cinespia summer calendar, though frightful fall movies have a way of popping up in locations beyond Hollywood when autumn arrives.
On Sept. 5, fans will rock out to the 25th anniversary of “Josie and the Pussycats,” while “The Sandlot” will step up to the plate Sept. 6.
And on Sept. 12? Best keep the sauce stirred: “Goodfellas” is the fast-paced film set to captivate film lovers.
As always, a themed photo area inspired by the films will be erected close to the action, so wear your best baseball get-up or shimmering early aughts band outfit, if you’re feeling it.
“Labor Day Weekend has always been the perfect way to close out both the summer and the Cinespia season,” said Cinespia founder John Wyatt.
“As we celebrate 25 years of Cinespia, we’re grateful to everyone who joined us this year and helped make another unforgettable season of movies under the stars.”
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone back next year.”
