With Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets officially opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 26, 2026, the transformation of this corner of Sunset Boulevard is nearly complete, and that includes a brand new background music loop debuting in the attraction’s courtyard. The playlist is a deep cut of songs from the end of the 1970s through to just a few years ago, anchored by Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem and rounded out by decades of rock songs. The Electric Mayhem on the Loop
The Electric Mayhem appear four times throughout the loop, giving the courtyard a distinctly Muppet identity even before guests step foot inside G-Force Records. Their entries include “Rock and Roll All Nite”, “Believe In Us”, “Rock On”, and “MAYHEM!,” which serves as a fun, high-energy original that fits the chaotic, lovable spirit of the band perfectly.
As we’ve reported, the Electric Mayhem also headline the on-ride experience, covering tracks like “Song 2,” “Born To Be Wild” (featuring Camilla the Chicken), “Love Rollercoaster” (featuring Jennifer Hudson and Questlove), “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” (featuring Def Leppard), and “Walking on Sunshine” (featuring Kelly Clarkson). Each ride vehicle is assigned one of the five songs at random, similar to how Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind operates.
Inside, guests will find a first-ever Scooter Audio-Animatronic figure created using motion capture technology, penguin audio engineers carried over as a nod to Muppet*Vision 3D, and a pre-show that mirrors the story beats of the Aerosmith version but with full Muppet flair. Sharp-eyed guests can also spot a pair of Aerosmith easter eggs tucked into the background of the pre-show room.
OUR TAKE: There are some very interesting choices on this list. That said, there are some excellent choices as well. Overall, we saw a lot of guests singing along with the songs when sitting through the 2+ hour loop.
