Brad Pitt is returning as Cliff Booth, his character from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Netflix just revealed the title: The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth.
Directed by David Fincher and written by Quentin Tarantino, the film will premiere in IMAX on November 25 for a two-week engagement, followed by its release on the streamer on December 23.
Pitt, who earned an Oscar for his role as Cliff Booth, returns to play the character, but this time it’s 1977, and Hollywood looks very different.
The film also stars Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Peter Weller.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood premiered in 2019 and was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film featured a cast that included Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie, Austin Butler, Dakota Fanning, Timothy Olyphant, Mike Moh, Margaret Qualley, Al Pacino, Emile Hirsch, Bruce Dern, Luke Perry, and many others.
Pitt’s Cliff Booth plays a stunt double and DiCaprio’s Rick Dalton’s best friend, driver, and personal assistant. Cliff is a World War II special ops veteran who lives in a trailer with his pit bull. The character struggles to find work following an altercation with Bruce Lee and rumors that he killed his wife.
Tarantino’s film went on to win two Academy Awards: one for Pitt in Best Supporting Actor and another for Barbara Ling and Nancy Haigh for Best Production Design.
