Aliso Viejo, CA (The Hollywood Times) 9/13/26 – Released on 9-9-2026 is the much-anticipated movie about the Gallagher brothers and their band Oasis. Released by Disney and rated R for language is part of the experience for fans of the meteoric rise of Oasis through rare footage and untold stories as the band reunites for Oasis Live ’25, chronicling their journey from Manchester streets to global rock stardom. Watching “Don’t Look Back In Anger” will be a dejavu experience for the lucky ones who attended the 2025 shows and it will ignite the curiosity of new fans which many are the 2nd generation of Oasis fans. It is released in IMAX theatres for the full big effect of the concert sound and concert footage.
It is a definite must for music fans of all nationalities as demonstrated in the movie of the diversity of cultures appreciating their songs and sound all these years. It is well edited with an enlightening storyline of the evolving dynamics of Irish teenage musical brothers from the UK who made it big whilst dealing with a power struggle of strong ideals yet frustrating incidents. The unexpected outcome of the massively successful reunion is Biblical in its tale of the power of forgiveness and moving forward with the karmic rewards of taking a chance again to play their much-loved music. The Oasis movie shows the raw reality of the mishap of differences by the brothers with the announcer for their cancelled concert which stopped their tour as soon the band broke up.
The band did a period of rehearsals in the UK in May 2025 with Liam joining once the musicians got ready for his arrival where Liam arrived like a pro with no issues just a matter of fact attitude to make it happen.
This music/film reviewer watched the movie at the Aliso Viejo Regal multi screens Theatre in OC, Southern California on Saturday 9-12-26 at the 7pm show with 80 tickets sold in their IMAX Theatre. Viewers cheered, clapped and sang along throughout parts of the movie. The audience was a mix of ages. Personally I had hoped for a surprise cameo or teaser of their next tour or album at the end.
I felt transported back to the infectious excitement of being at the Rose Bowl Oasis show as a senior rocker with my collapsible cane and walker due to the amount of walking from the parking lot to my ADA seat. I had a ticket for Oasis back in 2001 at the Greek Theatre yet when we arrived, we were late for the opening band the Black Crowes. In fact, the only person in the parking lot walking besides us to the box office was Rod Stewart to his black sedan in the VIP parking lot. I had met Rod Stewart over 20 years ago when two of my musician friends were in his 1981 band with drummer Carmine Appice and I mentioned that to Rod when I went up to him to find out why he was already leaving with Oasis going on next. Rod was quite kind and he inquired about a member of Danny Johnson’s family that he knew back which is quite amazing as it had been 20 years. Rod told me that Oasis decided to switch their set time so they could party early in Hollywood. Needless to say my boyfriend and I were let down but we still went to see Black Crowes and I didn’t know if I’d ever get to see Oasis so between seeing Oasis in 2025 and now here a year later, seeing the movie, it has been a happy 12 months during a tough time in our world where reality is a lot to deal with but a movie like this makes you feel real good with a lot of hope that music could save the world.
