Valerie Bertinelli announced she’s starring in a new TV film called Love, Again.
The film will debut on the Lifetime Network on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Valerie’s latest acting project marks her first role in over a decade.
Valerie Bertinelli is stepping in front of the camera once again—and her latest project will leave fans in tears.
The last time the actress starred in a scripted project was in 2015, when she wrapped her hit sitcom Hot in Cleveland after six seasons. While Valerie has appeared on TV since then, she hasn’t acted in a leading role for quite some time.
It looks like all of that is about to change, though, based on a surprise announcement made on April 17. People reported that Valerie would appear in a new Lifetime movie called Love, Again. The movie premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, May 9, 2026 and will feature Valerie alongside costars Eric McCormack and Henry Czerny.
“I am so excited for you to see my new Lifetime movie, Love, Again,” she stated in a promo clip posted on Instagram on April 30. “It’s about life, loss, and finding that love with someone else again.”
When fans saw Valerie’s heartwarming update, they shared their support.
“Excited already set the date ❤️,” one person wrote in the comments. “@wolfiesmom to say I’m proud of you is an understatement. Looking forward to seeing your new movie. You are amazing beyond words. Sending hugs your way. ✨💖🫶🏻💛,” another penned. “Grabbing my Mom so we can watch together ❤️❤️,” a different follower agreed.
Love, Again follows a woman named Caroline (played by Valerie), whose life changes when her husband (played by Henry) is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. As she begins to lose the love of her life, she learns more about herself as she builds a different bond with a new friend, Leo (played by Eric).
Lifetime released the trailer for Love, Again on TikTok earlier in April, so viewers could get a first look at what the movie will be like.
We’ll be sure to mark our calendars for this one.
