Following March 24-29 concerts at the London Palladium, Golden Globe winner Rachel Zegler (Evita, The Hunger Games, West Side Story) and Tony and Emmy winner Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen, Pitch
Perfect, Parade
) again join voices for concert performances of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years on this side of the Atlantic.

The concerts, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the two-person
musical, are being presented April 3 at the Hollywood Bowl and April 6-7 at
Radio City Music Hall. Tony-winning composer Brown (Parade, The Bridges of Madison County, Songs for a New World) directs and conducts the performances.

Watch highlights from the London engagement in the video above, and check out rehearsal photos in the gallery below.

The Last Five Years tracks a five-year relationship between
Cathy and Jamie from beginning to end via intertwining solo songs, with
Jamie’s story unfolding chronologically and Cathy’s reverse
chronologically. The musical, which premiered at Skokie, Illinoise’s
Northlight Theatre before a 2002 Off-Broadway run at Minetta Lane
Theatre starring Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Rene Scott, has become a
particular favorite among theatre fans. There was an Off-Broadway
revival in 2013 and a film adaptation in 2014. A 2025 staging directed by Whitney White,
starring Adrienne Warren and Nick Jonas, marked the work’s Broadway debut.

Platt won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance as Evan in Dear Evan Hansen,
as well as the Drama League Award for Distinguished Performance
(youngest recipient in history). He later reprised his role in the
Universal Pictures film adaptation alongside Julianne Moore and Amy
Adams. He received a second Tony nomination for his work as Leo Frank in
the Michael Arden-directed revival of Parade. Platt has also released three albums: 2019’s Sing to Me Instead, 2021’s Reverie, and 2024’s Honeymind. He also produced, co-wrote, and
starred in the award-winning Sundance film Theater Camp, which was released by Searchlight Pictures.

Zegler, who recently drew raves for her performance in the title role of the London revival of Evita, made her Broadway debut in Sam Gold’s Romeo + Juliet, starring opposite Kit Connor with music by Jack Antonoff. She can also be seen as Snow White
in Disney’s live-action remake of the classic story and recently starred in the A24 disaster comedy Y2K.

The 25th anniversary concerts are presented by Live Nation-Hewitt
Silva in association with Lambert Jackson and Cuffe and Taylor, with
associate direction by Emma Butler.
