As the Actor Awards’ first red-carpet fashion theme, Old Hollywood glamour was embraced by celebrities including Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Sinners’ Wunmi Mosaku with elegant neck-enhancing diamond necklaces, chandelier earrings, and statement rings among their jewelry.

Actors dove deep into archival clothing and jewelry vaults to—as the theme requested—reimagine Hollywood glamour from the 1920s and 1930s, and their selections made the March 1 awards show an event to remember.

Add in a few good jokes, some parody songs performed by host Kristen Bell, and a surprise appearance by the beloved Michael J. Fox, and the Actor Awards rebrand (they were previously called the SAG Awards) felt complete.

Song Sung Blue nominee Hudson (pictured at top) understood the assignment best, wearing bespoke high jewelry creations by Los Angeles-based fine jewelry brand Emily P. Wheeler.

Wheeler worked with Hudson’s longtime stylist Sophie Lopez to design a custom suite estimated at around $500,000. The made-for-Kate jewels included a pair of fringe earrings featuring 2.7 ct. light brown Desert Diamonds center stones and 2.24 cts. diamonds cascading down each earring in Wheeler’s signature bubble effect.

Hudson also wore a sculputed Emily P. Wheeler collar-style necklace set with 38.73 cts. pavé diamonds and a 10.15 ct. antique Desert Diamond—which was designed to sit at the collarbone, with bubble fringe diamonds descending from the center stone.

Hudson sported Desert Diamonds in three Wheeler rings as well: two circular bubble statement rings—with 3.09 ct. and 2.71 ct. stones, both sourced from Botswana—and a twist silhouette ring with an 8.8 ct. antique center stone surrounded by 3.37 cts. white diamonds.

“It was a dream to create custom jewelry for Kate,” Wheeler said in a statement. “She fully embodies the spirit of the Emily P. Wheeler woman—glamorous and sophisticated while still a bit bohemian, and someone who appreciates expressing her individuality through high jewelry that is classic and timeless, yet rooted in a modern design aesthetic.”

Below, some of our other favorite jewelry looks—from Messika, Chopard, Boucheron, and Suzanne Belperron—at the Actor Awards.

Wunmi Mosaku

Nominated for supporting actress—and a winner for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture—the Sinners costar wore Messika’s high jewelry Roc necklace, earrings, and ring.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Marty Supreme actress Paltrow got tons of online ink for not only her low-cut gown but also her vintage turquoise earclips by Suzanne Belperron, considered one of the most influential jewelry designers of the 20th century. This revolutionary style dates back to 1930 and demonstrates Belperron’s ability to use jewelry as a form of art.

Sofia Carson

Known for Disney’s Descendants, Carson was a showstopping presence in ouroboros earrings from Chopard’s Animal World collection. The ouroboros—a serpent or dragon eating its own tail—symbolizes eternity, renewal, and the unity of opposites, such as the cycles of life and death.

Sarah Paulson

Paulson wore three of Boucheron’s Vendôme Liseré pieces in white gold with black enamel, including a necklace. The pendant earrings each had a 3 ct. emerald-cut diamond along with round diamonds, and the ring was set with a 4.13 ct. emerald-cut diamond and paved with round diamonds.

Kristen Bell

Bell, who hosted the show with her usual quirky humor and charm, walked the red carpet in Messika’s high jewelry Night Owl necklace and earrings and the Messika by Kate Moss exotic charm ring.

Connor Storrie

Men’s jewelry at the Actor Awards was more understated, with a few bare lapels that made us weep and wonder where Colman Domingo was. But in true Heated Rivalry fashion, star Storrie showed up and showed out with his full suite of Tiffany & Co. jewelry. Our favorite piece was the Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Stitches ring in gold and platinum with diamonds.
