Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 7/16/2026 – ESPN basketball analyst and former WNBA All-Star Chiney Ogwumike made a stylish appearance at the 2026 ESPY Awards, accessorizing her red-carpet ensemble with jewelry by acclaimed designer Alexis Bittar. Held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City, this year’s ESPYs celebrated the biggest achievements in sports while once again serving as a showcase for standout celebrity fashion.

Ogwumike, who has become one of ESPN’s most recognizable basketball analysts following her successful professional playing career, continues to bridge the worlds of sports, media, and fashion. Her appearance on the ESPYs red carpet reflected the growing influence athletes and broadcasters have within the entertainment and luxury fashion industries.

Alexis Bittar’s jewelry has long been recognized for its bold, sculptural aesthetic and modern craftsmanship. For more than three decades, the self-taught designer has built an internationally recognized brand known for blending art with fashion, attracting an impressive list of celebrity admirers that includes Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Cher, Madonna, Tyla, Megan Thee Stallion, Julia Fox, Iris Apfel, and Gigi and Bella Hadid.

After stepping away from his company in 2015, Bittar reacquired the brand in 2021 and has since expanded his fashion empire through new handbag collections, boutique locations across New York, and award-winning digital campaigns. His creative storytelling has also extended beyond fashion, earning recognition through The Bittarverse social media series and the 2025 documentary Reclaim The Flag, which inspired a nationwide movement promoting unity in 2026.

Bittar’s influence within the fashion industry has been recognized with numerous honors, including the CFDA Accessory Designer of the Year Award and multiple Accessories Council of Excellence Awards. His collaborations with luxury fashion houses such as Burberry, Michael Kors, Mugler, Phillip Lim, and Jeremy Scott have further cemented his reputation as one of the industry’s leading accessories designers.

As the ESPYs continue to celebrate excellence both on and off the field, Ogwumike’s appearance wearing Alexis Bittar highlighted the continuing relationship between sports, entertainment, and high fashion. The annual event remains one of the premier destinations where athletic achievement and red-carpet style intersect, giving designers another opportunity to showcase their work on one of the year’s biggest stages.
