Sinners is the most nominated film for the upcoming Guild of Music Supervisors Awards, the organization revealed Wednesday, as the film scored a nomination for best music supervision in a major budget film, along with two nominations for best song.

Sinners music supervisor Niki Sherrod earned the nomination for best music supervision, while Ludwig Göransson and Raphael Saadiq’s “I Lied To You,” and Göransson and Alice Smith’s “Last Time (I Seen the Sun)” — both performed by Miles Caton, with Smith performing on the latter as well — got the best song nods.

Elsewhere in the nominations, F1 got two nominations, for best music supervision in a major budget film along with best song for Tate McRae’s “Just Keep Watching,” written by McRae, Amy Allen, Tyler Spry and Ryan Tedder.

Supervisor Gabe Hilfer earned four nominations for his work on films A Minecraft Movie and Marty Supreme, as well as in TV for season four of The Righteous Gemstones and season one of The Studio, both nominated in the comedy category.

“In a year that was challenging for our city and our industry, we are excited to see an abundance of great work from the music supervision community — congratulations to our nominees,” guild president Lindsay Wolfington and vice president Heather Guibert said in a statement. “Pairing the right music and visuals is essential for evoking emotion, setting tone and transporting audiences to new worlds. We have seen time and again how this vital pairing elevates content across all visual media. This year’s nominees once again highlight the importance of music supervision to storytelling.”

The Guild of Music Supervisors Awards will take place on February 28 in Los Angeles at the Wiltern Theatre, with presenters and performances set to be announced in the coming weeks.
