Hollywood Undead are officially looking ahead to their next era.

After spending the last two years steadily releasing standalone singles and embracing a more flexible approach to new music, multi platinum rap-rock outfit Hollywood Undead have now confirmed that a full length album is expected to arrive in early 2027.

Speaking with Rock Sound backstage at Download Festival, Johnny 3 Tears revealed the band already has its sights set on the next record (per Blabbermouth):

“Oh, yeah. We’ll put a new record out at the beginning of next year, it looks like.”

He also confirmed fans shouldn’t expect recent releases to carry over onto the album:

“So we’re probably not gonna drop any songs till then, or maybe another song. But none of the songs we put out [in recent months] will be on the record. Those are all just releases, standalone songs.”

It’s an approach that reflects how modern rock bands have increasingly moved away from traditional album cycles.

Faster moving release schedule

Johnny pointed to the influence of hip-hop and pop’s faster moving release culture, where artists are able to release music without waiting years between projects:

“We’ll just put out songs. We’ll never play it. It’s like, dude, we wrote it. Why not?”

Since signing with Sumerian Records, the band have rolled out a steady stream of singles including Hollywood Forever, SAVIOR, 1×1, All My Friends featuring Jeris Johnson and most recently Feels Like Home.

Rather than feeling disconnected, those releases have helped establish a refreshed version of Hollywood Undead, one that has leaned harder into theatrical visuals, sharper emotional contrast and a renewed creative identity while bringing back the band’s iconic masks.

Now, with a full album finally in sight and fresh material reportedly already taking shape behind the scenes, Hollywood Undead’s next chapter appears closer than fans may have expected.
