Mumbai, June 28 (IANS) Actor Akshay Kumar revealed that he is responsible for adding the line “Bhojpuri is better than Hollywood” in ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ during an exclusive interaction with IANS.

Actor Akshay Kumar revealed that he is responsible for adding the line “Bhojpuri is better than Hollywood” in ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ during an exclusive interaction with IANS.The abovementioned lines are spoken by actress Jacqueline Fernandez in the sequel.Akshay was asked if an actor like him playing a Bhojpuri star in the movie and doing a Bhojpuri song elevates the position of an industry known for objectifying women.In response, Akshay revealed that it was he who had suggested that the dialogue “Bhojpuri is better than Hollywood” be added in ‘Welcome To The Jungle’.The ‘Houseful’ actor told IANS, “In my opinion, Bhojpuri cinema, if you have seen, there is a dialogue of Jacqueline in the film that, “Bhojpuri is better than Hollywood”. I had put that dialogue. We have shown her introduction that she is coming from London, Paris, so she has seen the world, and when she saw something like this, everything shining, and this energy, dance, etc. Where will you get that Hollywood? And dance like this, dance like Bhojpuri, where will you get it? So, it is anytime better than Hollywood.“Praising the Bhojpuri industry, Akshay went on to add, “So, according to me, Bhojpuri is right up there, and to play a Bhojpuri actor, it was an honor”.The third instalment in the popular franchise has stellar cast with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny lever, Aftab Shivdasani, Lara Dutta, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Daler Mehndi, Farida Jalal, Krishna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Kiran Kumar, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Vindu Dara Singh, Nawab Shah, Urvashi Rautela, Puneet Issar, Arjun Firoz Khan, Late Pankaj Dheer, Sudesh Berry, Hemant Pandey, Zakir Hussain, and Sayaji Shinde, along with others.AA Nadiadwala and Star Studio18 present in association with Cape of Good Films and Seeta Films, ‘Welcome To the Jungle’ is a Base Industries Group and Seeta Films Production.The original drama, ‘Welcome,’ reached the audience back in 2007. In 2015, the makers came up with the sequel ‘Welcome Back’.
