Variety has announced presenters for its annual Power of Young Hollywood, this year presented by Disney+, taking place on Aug. 5 in Los Angeles. Presenting Tate McRae with the Triple Threat Award will be Madison Beer, and presenting Sombr with the Songwriter of the Year award is Lindsey Buckingham. Tyriq Withers will receive the New Leading Man Award from Kiernan Shipka, and Malachi Barton will be presented the Rising Star Award by Tiffani Thiessen.

The event will be cohosted by Mario Lopez and his son Dominic. A two-time Emmy winner, Mario Lopez hosts NBC’s “Access Hollywood” and “Access Daily” concurrently with the national iHeart radio programs “On with Mario & Courtney Lopez” and “iHeartRadio Countdown with Mario Lopez.” His son, Dominic Lopez, is a rising young actor who can be seen on CBS’s “Matlock,” Netflix’s “The Lincoln Lawyer” and indie films “Bad Counselors” and “Last Shot.” Mario and Dominic will star together alongside Tony Danza in the upcoming holiday film “Christmas at Starlight.”

A two-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Beer recently concluded her 32-date Locket Tour across Europe and North America following the release of her deluxe album “Locket” earlier this summer. Beer got her start posting viral covers on YouTube and has since released an EP and three studio albums, the second of which earned her her first Grammy nomination for Best Immersive Audio Album in 2024. In 2025, she was nominated again for her single “Make You Mine,” for which she also won Pop-Dance Anthem of the Year at the Electronic Music Dance Awards.

Joining Fleetwood Mac in 1975 as guitarist, co-lead singer and later, producer, Buckingham helped turn the band into one of the greatest stories in music with their 1977 album “Rumours,” one of the best-selling albums of all time. Beyond Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham has released several solo albums showcasing his experimental production style, including “Law and Order”, ‘’Go Insane’’ and “Gift of Screws”. Buckingham was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998.

Shipka first gained widespread recognition as Sally Draper on AMC’s “Mad Men” before starring as Sabrina Spellman in Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.” Since then, she has built a distinctive career across film and television. Her recent credits include “Longlegs,” “Twisters,” “The Last Showgirl,” and HBO’s” Industry.” She will next be seen in “Idiots,” directed by Macon Blair, alongside Dave Franco, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Mason Thames. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and opens in theaters on August 28.

Thiessen is known for her iconic role as Kelly Kapowski on “Saved by the Bell,” as well as roles on “White Collar” and “Alexa & Katie,” for which she earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress. Thiessen, along with honoree Barton, will be starring in the upcoming supernatural comedy-drama “Coven Academy” on Disney Channel and Disney+.

For the first time in the event’s history, Variety‘s Power of Young Hollywood will feature a live musical performance, presented by Amazon Music’s Breakthrough program. Amazon Music’s newest Breakthrough artist, acclaimed singer-songwriter Sienna Spiro, will perform “Pure” from her debut album, “Visitor,” ahead of her sold-out global headline “My House” tour kicking off this fall.

Disney+ is the presenting partner of this year’s Power of Young Hollywood party. Neutrogena is the Official Skincare Partner. Cash App is a premier partner, Amazon Music is the official performance sponsor, HYBE is an official sponsor, Eternal Water is the official water partner and Untitled is a supporting sponsor.
