[Editor’s note: This story was first published on January 12, and was updated on March 18.]

Three days after the 2026 Oscars, it’s official: Teyana Taylor has won the 2026 best dressed race, according to VF readers. It might have been her trompe l’oeil Thom Browne dress at the Actor Awards that sealed the deal, or her Chanel double whammy on Oscars night. The bottom line is that she’s been consistently one of the circuit’s most compelling dressers all season long.

But let’s go back to the beginning. The 2026 Golden Globes kicked off awards season in earnest on January 11 with a taste of Old Hollywood on the red carpet. The Grammy Awards, however, were a true fashion spectacle, from Bad Bunny’s custom Schiaparelli suit to Chappell Roan’s gravity—and anatomy—defying Mugler dress. Stars brought their A-game at the BAFTAs, including Jessie Buckley and Chase Infiniti, who both made our best dressed list for the first time this season. At the Actor Awards, it was Buckley, Infiniti, and Taylor who emerged as not just this season’s top performers, but its best dressers, too.

The Y axis shows the top 10 celebrities who are currently in the lead, the X axis represents the amount of votes.

Throughout the season, there were some winners and some —how do we say this politely—people who did not win on the red carpet. Of course it’s easy to track who has piled up the most nominations or taken home the most awards in any given season, but the competition on the red carpet is a little less clear. That’s where you, VF reader, came in.

All season long we’ve asked you to vote for your favorites from our best dressed lists, and have been tracking who you think are the best dressed celebrities overall, and updating this leaderboard with your votes after each major awards ceremony to see who is winning the red carpet competition. (We are big about democracy here at VF.)
