The Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa recently made headlines after it was revealed that two Hollywood megastars had dined there.
Last year, we reported that Strictly Come Dancing star Maisie Smith and her boyfriend, Wanted singer Max George, stayed at the hotel.
However, they were far from the only celebrities to visit the Keswick venue, with Love Island stars including Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury and Kady McDermott also spending time at The Falls Spa.
But did you know that an Oscar winner and a star of some of the biggest action franchises have also been seen there?
The Hollywood stars spotted at this Lake District hotel
Colin Firth CBE
CBE-knighted actor, Colin Firth, is most well-known for his multi-award-winning performance in The King’s Speech as he portrayed King George VI in his ascension to the throne.
Whilst filming Supernova in the area with Stanley Tucci, Colin popped into the popular Mizu for a spot of pan-Asian lunch.
Simon Pegg
Mizu also had the pleasure of welcoming none other than the legendary comedian, Simon Pegg; originally famous for co-creating Channel 4 sitcom, Spaced, and his roles in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and World’s End.
Pegg has also starred in Star Trek and the Mission: Impossible franchise.
Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa
In 2021, Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa was crowned as the ‘Best Countryside Getaway’ in the whole of the UK.
Competition was fierce, but the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa came out on top and the award was bestowed to The Falls Spa manager Davina Hassell who said at the time: “I cannot express how much it means to both me, my spa team and the rest of the employees at the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa to receive this award.”
“After an unprecedented year of hotel closures, it is excellent that our beautiful, countryside hotel has gotten the recognition it truly deserves and every single team member across the hotel should be proud of themselves.”
On Tripadvisor, Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 from more than 4,800 reviews.
