Billie Eilish and her brother and principal collaborator Finneas O’Connell won the award for song of the year for “Wildflower” at the 2026 Grammys on Sunday.

Carole King presented the Grammy to Eilish and O’Connell, who became the first songwriters to win three times in the song of the year category. Eilish, who previously won the award for “bad guy” and “What Was I Made For” from the Barbie soundtrack, spoke out against ICE during her acceptance speech.

“Everyone else in this category are so amazing,” Eilish began, thanking her fellow nominees. “I love you so much. I feel so honored every time I get to be in this room. And, as grateful as I feel, I honestly don’t feel like I need to say anything, but that no one is illegal on stolen land … It’s just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now, and I feel really hopeful in this room.”

Eilish, who wore a “ICE OUT” pin on the Grammys red carpet, urged the public to “keep fighting and speaking up and protesting.”

“Our voices really do matter and the people matter,” she continued. “Fuck ICE,” she added, with the latter two words bleeped on the CBS telecast.

Eilish and O’Connell were nominated for song of the year alongside Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra,” Doechii’s “Aniexty,” Rosé & Bruno Mars’ “APT,” Bad Bunny’s “DtMF,” Huntrix’s “Golden,” Kendrick Lamar’s “Luther” feat. SZA and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild.”

The 2026 Grammys were held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles Sunday, Feb. 1. Comedian Trevor Noah hosted the ceremony, which was produced by Fulwell 73 Productions. See the full list of winners here and all the red carpet looks here.
