Camila Mendes was cast as Veronica Lodge in The CW’s ‘Riverdale’ straight out of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts — her first professional acting job — and stayed with the Archie Comics adaptation for its full seven-season run opposite KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse.\n\nShe used the ‘Riverdale’ hiatus to build a parallel career in streaming romantic comedies: ‘The Perfect Date’ with Noah Centineo, ‘Palm Springs’ co-star favorite ‘Musica’ with Rudy Mancuso (whom she’s dated), the heist comedy ‘Strangers’ and Prime Video’s ‘Upgraded’ opposite Archie Renaux. Her production shingle Consuelo has an overall deal with a focus on Latina-led stories.\n\nOutside of film she’s a longtime brand face for L’Oréal Paris and a vocal advocate for eating-disorder recovery. Mendes is a regular presence at Young Hollywood, dropping in for interviews around each new project.
