Dolly Parton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star has been vandalized, with repairs now underway at the Hollywood landmark.
According to TMZ, a fan reported seeing damage to the star Monday night after flowers left at the site were reportedly stolen and Parton’s name was scratched.
Ana Martinez, a spokesperson for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, told TMZ that the star was already cracked and had been scheduled for repairs Tuesday.
Dolly’s star was originally dedicated in 1984, becoming one of the many honors recognizing her impact on music and entertainment.
The vandalism comes as fans continue to leave flowers and tributes at the star following Parton’s death at 80. For a tribute that has stood for more than four decades, seeing it damaged just days after her passing is especially heartbreaking.
