Drake has taken control of the Billboard charts this week as the hip-hop superstar holds eight of the top 10 slots on the Hot 100, with Iceman track “Janice STFU” debuting at No. 1 on the Hot 100.

As Billboard revealed Tuesday, with his three albums Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti, Drake has an overwhelming 42 songs on the Hot 100 overall, an all-time record for a debut week, including nine of the top 10 slots overall. The three albums have taken the top-three slots on Billboard’s albums chart as well, with Drake becoming the only artist in Billboard history to take the top three album slots at once.

The ”Janice STFU” debut puts Drake above Michael Jackson on the all time Hot 100 number one leaderboard among male artists, as he now has 14 No. 1 songs. The track opened with 40.7 million streams. Drake has taken nine of the top 10 slots on the Hot 100 for the second time in his career, a rare feat that only Taylor Swift has bested, as the superstar has taken up all 10 slots three times since 2022.

Below “Janice STFU,” “Ran To Atlanta” took the second slot, “Whisper My Name” came in third and “Shabang” took fourth. Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” is the only non-Drake song in the top 10 this week at No. 5, and “National Treasures,” “Make Them Cry,” “Dust,” “2 Hard 4 The Radio” and “Make Them Pay” round out the top 10.

Drake’s monumental week comes at a crucial time in the superstar’s career, marking his first solo releases since his infamous feud with Kendrick Lamar was capped with Lamar’s “Not Like Us” becoming one of the biggest songs in the world. While his reputation remains a bit beaten since that beef and Drake’s subsequent decision to sue his and Lamar’s record company over the song’s release, Drake’s Iceman era further affirms him as one of the biggest artists in music history.

The question now becomes how much of the music will stick around the charts next week now that the first week hype has gone down.
