Elliot Page, who appeared in a major Hollywood film, has publicly appealed for casting opportunities, saying, “I have no next project.” The actor rose to international stardom through films such as ‘Juno’ and ‘Inception,’ but has now taken matters into his own hands to find work.

On the first, local time, Page appeared on ‘On Film…With Kevin McCarthy,’ a podcast hosted by Kevin McCarthy, and discussed his recent activities and future plans.

When the host asked, “What are your plans for your next project?” Page replied, “I have nothing.”

Page joked, “I think it’s because I’m Canadian,” then added, “If anyone wants to cast me, please get in touch. I’ll be in every movie that comes out. I really want to do a good project. That’s what I want to do.”

Page drew international attention after being nominated for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) Best Actress award for the 2007 film ‘Juno.’ He later appeared in ‘X-Men’ and ‘Inception,’ establishing himself as one of Hollywood’s leading actors.

After coming out as transgender, he appeared in the Netflix series ‘The Umbrella Academy’ and the film ‘Close to You.’ However, his work has declined significantly compared with the past.

More recently, he appeared as the soldier Sinon in Christopher Nolan’s major film ‘Odyssey,’ which is generating a global box-office sensation. Joining the renowned director’s large-scale project once again brought him Hollywood’s attention.

The casting was also followed by controversy. Conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro publicly criticized Page’s casting. He argued that Page was not suited to the role, citing the actor’s physical characteristics and voice.

Page came out as a lesbian in 2014 and married his same-sex partner, Emma Portner, in 2018. In 2020, he publicly announced that he was a transgender man, changed his name from Ellen Page to Elliot Page, and said he uses he/him pronouns.

Page’s recent career has been viewed as an example of changing attitudes toward diversity and LGBTQ people in Hollywood. At the same time, some analysts say the casting itself has become a subject of debate in the so-called “culture war.”
