Deadites will rise from the cursed pages of the Necronomicon as Evil Dead Burn becomes the latest house confirmed for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Born from the 1981 indie cult classic, the newest installment in New Line Cinema’s ongoing franchise that centers on the Book of the Dead — an ancient text that unleashes supernatural parasitic demons who possess their victims, twisting them into “Deadites” — will appear as its own house at both the Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood events.

HHN guests will get to experience the franchise’s distinct blend of extreme gore and dark humor as they go on a first-hand journey through the Price family’s secluded vacation home in the woods. As attendees navigate sequences adapted from the movie’s most frightening moments, the nightmare will grow, with more and more ferocious Deadites around every corner, culminating in a moment that promises to see guests “succumb” to evil forces themselves.

Evil Dead Burn is the third major IP house announced this year, with the film releasing in theaters earlier this month. It will appear at the 2026 event alongside a series of original concept houses, scare zones and the Hollywood park’s annual tram experience, as well as the highly anticipated Sinners and Hellraiser mazes.

The latter, its own major ‘80s cult classic-turned-franchise, is a psychological horror originally adapted from Clive Barker’s 1986 novella The Hellbound Heart. Hellraiser introduced audiences to the mythology of the Lament Configuration puzzle box, the home to a dimensional portal inhabited by the ritualistically torturous beings, the Cenobites, and their leader, the iconic Pinhead.

As part of Hellraiser’s HHN debut, guests will experience a house that draws from the first three films — Hellraiser, Hellbound: Hellraiser II and Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth — with legendary Pinhead actor Doug Bradley reprising his character to lend his voice to the houses on both coasts. Attendees will enter the iconic Lament Configuration puzzle box, summoning the Cenobites and opening a gateway to a dimension full of unspeakable horrors.

Fans will visit the shadowy attic in Frank Cotton’s family home, the place he was first cast to Hell, in addition to the unsettling Channard Institute, where the puzzle box lures guests through its promise of forbidden pleasures before guests are ultimately brought into The Labyrinth, where they will face Pinhead and the Cenobites as they lie in wait for new souls to eternally torment.

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 runs from Aug. 27 to Nov. 1 at Universal Orlando and Sept. 3 to Nov. 1 at Universal Hollywood.
