Meanwhile, the long-delayed film continues to face legal hurdles. Recently a court verdict came in favour of the film’s release by June 15. However, investors K Premkumar and K Punniyamoorthy challenged the Madras High Court order that had permitted the film’s release, prompting a fresh round of hearings. After hearing arguments from both sides on June 2, a division bench comprising Justices V Lakshminarayanan and GR Swaminathan reserved its orders. With the verdict pending, the film remains in legal limbo, and its proposed release plans cannot move forward until the court delivers its final decision on the investors’ appeal.

Dhruva Natchathiram also stars Ritu Varma, Simran, Vinayakan, Divya Dharshini, Munna Simon, Vamsi Krishna, Salim Baig, Sathish Krishnan, and Maya S Krishnan, among others. It has been a couple of years since the release of the trailer for the film. It remains to be seen whether the film will see the light of day later this year.
