Calling all fans of Killing Eve and Gangs of London, as the creatives behind the two acclaimed shows have adapted a revenge thriller novel for Prime Video. And in even better news, it’s coming to the streamer soon!

Starring Academy Award-winning actor Catherine Zeta-Jones in the lead role, Kill Jackie is based on The Price You Pay, a 2018 novel from Nick Harkaway that was written under the pseudonym of Aidan Truhen.

The series sees Zeta-Jones portray Jackie Price, a wealthy art dealer who has grown bored of her lavish lifestyle. But just as she wishes for some excitement, she gets more than she bargained for when her past life draws the attention of some very dangerous people.

The eight-part series, which is described as “high-octane”, will come to Prime Video on 2 October, meaning viewers don’t have to wait too long for the premiere. Furthermore, all instalments will drop at the same time, making a binge-watch very achievable.

In addition to Zeta-Jones, who also serves as an executive producer, the cast for the revenge thriller includes Daniel Ings, Bill Paterson, Gavin Spokes, Ron Perlman, Julian Barratt, Raff Law, Darci Shaw and Christine Adams.

The highly-anticipated series has been co-created by Conor Keane, Peter Lawson, Damon Thomas and Tom Butterworth, with the latter pair being known for their work on Killing Eve and Gangs of London respectively.

As per the logline, Kill Jackie follows the central character as her past life as an international drug smuggler comes to the fore, with The Seven Demons – a squad of “lethal hitmen” – being ordered to kill her.

“Assuming that someone from her previous life must’ve called the hit on her, Jackie embarks on a perilous revenge mission as she vows to take the Demons down one by one and discover who’s calling the shots,” teases the synopsis.

“However, she soon realises her own demons are much more terrifying than the ruthless killers on her trail… and her buried secrets lead her closer to home, with surprising consequences,” it continues.

Kill Jackie will launch on Prime Video on 2 October.
