LOS ANGELES — After the Academy Awards are handed out, celebrities leave the Dolby Theater and head to the iconic Governors Ball, the Academy’s official post-Oscars celebration.

For the 32nd year, celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck is back in the kitchen for Hollywood’s biggest night, and this year he’s joined by his son, Byron Puck.

The pair will serve 1,600 guests at the Governors Ball on Sunday, who come hungry and thirsty.

“You know, most of the people did not eat all day long. So when they come out, everybody is famished, you know?” said Puck.

The iconic chef says the celebrities love his Japanese Wagyu steak, and he says they rush straight for the comfort food.

“They say, ‘Wolfgang, where is the mac and cheese? Where is the chicken pot pie?’ And people really love it. When I made that for the first time, Barbra Streisand ate three of them!” Puck told 6abc’s Alicia Vitarelli.

There are 84 items on the menu.

“My son, Byron, is making a pasta here, the agnolotti with artichoke and truffles,” said Puck.

After the feast, the chefs hope the stars save room for dessert!

“The apple strudel, I’d say, is an absolute must over there on the dessert section,” said Byron Puck.

And of course, each Hollywood A-lister at the Governors Ball gets a dark chocolate mini Oscar statuette.
