CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com audio film review for the new release COOKIE QUEENS, a documentary about four Girl Scouts – at various levels – applying their sales moxie during the annual Girl Scout Cookie fundraiser. In select theaters on August 7th, see local listings.
The four Girl Scout cookie queens are Ara the Youngest at five years olds (amazing!) as she sets a modest goal and learns how to manage expectations. Shannon Elizabeth is a Texas gal who is constantly on the move, taking karate and convincing her middle class parents that a big order will get her to cookie camp. Nikki is from a Girl Scout family … her sisters were cookie selling champs and she enlists them to do the same for her. And finally Olive, an uber achiever … she eventually desires to be on the Supreme Court … who is the cookie queen of North Carolina, with an estimate of 38,000 boxes of sales in her “career.” They all are in it to win it.
