Kerry Washington attended the 2026 Gotham Television Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, and I am not exaggerating when I say this felt medicinal.
I have not quite felt like myself since surgery and recovery last week, so seeing Kerry step onto this red carpet in an Oscar de la Renta Resort 2026 ombré bugle bead lamé halter gown genuinely lifted my spirits. That is how much I needed this moment. If fashion therapy exists, this was it.
Kerry has long been one of those actresses whose red carpet appearances I look forward, and this reminded me exactly why. The liquid gold finish alone was enough to stop me in my tracks, but it was the silhouette that sealed it. The halter neckline and softly sculpted shape skimmed the body beautifully as it oozes with that unmistakable old-Hollywood allure.
The ombré beading added depth to the shine, while the elongated shape gave Kerry an almost statuesque finish. Styled with De Beers jewels and that cloud of softly defined curls, everything came together in a way that felt glamorous, and completely in sync.
To put it simply: Kerry Washington is back to giving me exactly what I come to the red carpet for.
