The New York Post has set a path into film, TV, documentary and streaming projects via a first-look creative partnership with Crazy Legs Productions.
Atlanta-based Crazy Legs, represented by CAA, will look to adapt stories and archival materials from the Rupert Murdoch-owned tabloid across scripted and unscripted platforms. The deal, to include stories from the recently launched California Post publication, will see the partners focus on developing media content in the true crime, pop culture and sports genres drawn from the tabloid’s vast archives.
“We’re excited to partner with Crazy Legs Productions to extend the reach of our top-shelf journalism beyond the page,” stated Troy Searer, president of New York Post Entertainment. “The Post has always delivered stories that capture attention and spark conversation. This partnership creates a perfect opportunity to bring those stories to life for audiences across film and television.”
Crazy Legs Productions, with a base in Los Angeles, has unscripted and scripted programming credits like the TLC series 1000-LB Sisters and Tech Bro Murders for Investigation Discovery, and HBO’s The Great Lillian Hall, starring Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates. The deal with the Post allows the production banner to develop New York and Hollywood-based stories with cinematic and episodic TV potential.

The Post deal with Crazy Legs follows similar paths by major newspapers into screen adaptations after The New York Times Presents investigative docuseries from the paper landed on FX and Hulu, and The Washington Post and Imagine Entertainment struck a deal to create scripted and unscripted film and TV content inspired by the Post‘s archives.
