Stranger Things spent another week as the most streamed title in the United States, but the Nielsen charts for Dec. 8-14 also featured a couple of noteworthy debuts and returns.

Apple TV’s Pluribus made its first appearance in the rankings in the week its seventh episode premiered. The sci-fi series/character study from creator Vince Gilligan, which stars Rhea Seehorn, drew 360 million minutes of viewing for the week.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians returned to the Nielsen rankings with 508 million viewing minutes for the week of its season two premiere. Nielsen says the first two episodes of season two accounted for about 52 percent of the total (a little over 264 million minutes), with catchup viewing of season one making up the rest. Also back was Mayor of Kingstown (443 million minutes), appearing in the rankings for the first time since August 2024; the Paramount+ drama co-created by Taylor Sheridan wrapped its fourth season in late December (and will end with season five).

Stranger Things had 3.02 billion minutes of watch time for the week, repeating at No. 1 overall and bringing its total since the final season premiere in late November to 15.86 billion minutes. Those three weeks alone would place the series among the top three original streaming shows of 2025; it will almost certainly end the year leading all original series.

Netflix’s docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning (1.6 billion minutes) and Paramount+ show from Sheridan, Landman (1.52 billion), also had strong showings for the Dec. 8-14 frame. The third Knives Out movie, Wake Up Dead Man, premiered with 1.31 billion minutes of viewing — not as big as the 2.23 billion minutes for Glass Onion’s opening week in 2022 but still a very solid showing.

Nielsen’s streaming ratings cover viewing on TV sets only and don’t include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. The ratings only measure U.S. audiences, not those in other countries. The top streaming titles for Dec. 8-14, 2025, are below.
