Ron Perlman, the gruff and grizzled actor known for his work in Sons of Anarchy and for his starring turn as monster hero Hellboy, has signed with Independent Artist Group.

The agency will also represent Perlman’s production company Asylm Studios.

The actor established himself as one of Hollywood’s most distinctive talents through prolific work, but it was his work as the title character in Guillermo del Toro’s two well-regarded Hellboy movies that made him a recognizable name. His frequent collaboration with del Toro also yielded memorable work in Blade II, Pacific Rim and Nightmare Alley, among several other outings.

Perlman is perhaps best known to television audiences for his unforgettable portrayal of biker gang leader “Clay Morrow” on FX’s critically acclaimed hit series Sons of Anarchy, a role that remains one of the most-remembered in 2010s television.

Throughout, he worked with top directors ranging from Jean-Pierre Jeunet in The City of Lost Children and Alien: Resurrection to Adam McKay in Don’t Look Up. And he has appeared in key franchise movies such as Star Trek: Nemesis and Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. On top of that, there is his prolific voice work.

Perlman has recently appeared in the acclaimed series Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Fallout and Poker Face and can currently be seen on Apple TV’s prestige series Cape Fear.

“Ron Perlman is one of the most respected and accomplished actors of his generation,” said head of global talent Andrew Rogers and partner Kris Heller in a statement. “His body of work speaks for itself, spanning iconic performances in film and television that have resonated with audiences worldwide. We are thrilled to welcome Ron to the IAG family and look forward to helping shape the next chapter of his extraordinary career.”

Perlman continues to be repped by management firm Link Entertainment.
