The Cannes Film Festival this year features a wide range of films from across genres, including Seth Rogen’s animated feature Tangles. In a recent interview, the actor and filmmaker opened up about premiering the film at Cannes and admitted that the experience left him emotional. While speaking to PEOPLE about attending Cannes and screening the film, Rogen shared that watching the movie with a live audience for the first time was overwhelming for him.“I’ve seen the movie, obviously, a lot of times, but that was the first time I’ve seen it not on my laptop computer with Lauren sitting beside me in our living room,” he said. The actor further revealed that he became emotional during the screening.“I was crying a lot throughout the entire thing,” he admitted.Rogen explained that seeing the completed version of the film on the big screen with a packed audience was an intense and deeply moving experience.“I’m just glad the movie is effective and works. We’ve been working on it for like 10 years. To watch it with a big group of people is a very lovely feeling. And that it seems to have emotionally impacted them, it’s very nice,” he added.
