‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has been setting one box-office record after another since its release, becoming the second-fastest film in box-office history to surpass $2 billion worldwide.

According to the latest figures, the film has grossed approximately $2.022 billion globally, equivalent to around Tk 24,800 crore. It is reportedly the fastest film to reach the $2 billion milestone since ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

Released in theatres on July 31, 2026, the film earned $1 billion worldwide in its first week and doubled that figure in just 17 days.

The film’s performance is being viewed as significant not only for the Spider-Man franchise but also for Hollywood’s wider box-office recovery.

A joint production of Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, with Zendaya as MJ. The cast also includes Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo.
