There’s just no stopping ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ at the box office. The fourth instalment of the film starring Tom Holland as the friendly neighbourhood superhero, has continued its extraordinary run at the global box office, grossing an estimated USD 1.8 billion worldwide within just two weekends of its theatrical release.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ crosses USD 700 million at US box office

As per the latest report on Variety, the film has collected an estimated USD 704.5 million in North America, becoming the fastest film to cross the USD 700 million mark at the domestic box office. Meanwhile, at the international markets, the film has earned an estimated USD 1.108 billion, taking its overall total to approximately USD 1.8 billion.With this, ‘Brand New Day’ has joined the list of just seven films to surpass the USD 700 million milestone in North America. The list includes:‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ – USD 963 million‘Avengers: Endgame’ – USD 858 million‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ – USD 814 million‘Avatar’ – USD 785 million‘Top Gun: Maverick’ – USD 721 million‘Black Panther’ – USD 700 million

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ surpasses ”Spider-Man: No Way Home’ record

With this new milestone, the film has also now set the record for the highest-grossing ‘Spider-Man’ film of all time, overtaking ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, which was released in 2021. As per box office reports, the film earned an estimated USD 1.106 billion at the global market, which ‘Brand New Day’ has surpassed in just two weeks, earning USD 1.108 billion from overseas markets.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ joins ‘Avatar’, ‘Avengers’ in USD 2 billion club

With the weekend ahead, the film is now all set to cross the USD 2 billion milestone, thus becoming only the seventh film to hit this major milestone. ‘Avatar’ currently ranks as the highest-grossing film of all time with approximately USD 2.9 billion worldwide following multiple releases, while ‘Avengers: Endgame’ stands at around USD 2.8 billion, with an upcoming re-release set to take the numbers higher.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ eyes USD 3 billion mark

Depending on the film’s hold over the box office, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ could even become the first film to cross the USD 3 billion mark.
