‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has been on a record-breaking since the start of its run at the box office. After hitting the ball out of the park wth its epics USD 1 billion haul, the film is now the verge of rewriting the Marvel box office record in North America.

‘Spider-Man’ tops domestic box office

According to the various box office reports on The Hollywood Reporter and Games Radar, the superhero blockbuster has reportedly beaten ‘Avengers: Endgame’ to become the highest-grossing Marvel film at the domestic box office. The film, in its fourth week, has reportedly crossed an estimated USD USD 858.3 million earned by ‘Endgame’, during its 2019 release.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ becomes highest grossing Marvel Film in US

The film reportedly added an estimated USD 39 million to its domestic collection over the latest weekend, while taking in approximately USD 109 million worldwide. Its global haul now stands at around USD 2.21 billion, further cementing its position among the highest-grossing films in cinematic history.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ chases ‘Avengers: Endgame’ global record

While ‘Brand New Day’ has become the biggest Marvel film in North America, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ remains ahead globally, with a lifetime worldwide gross of approximately USD 2.79 billion. ‘Endgame’ is also scheduled for a theatrical re-release on September 25, which could give it another boost in its ongoing battle with ‘Avatar’ for the top spot.

Top 5 highest grossing films at global box office

At the global box office, ‘Brand New Day’ currently occupies the sixth spot on the list of the highest-grossing films of all time. The film is only around USD 40 million short of the ‘Titanic’ record, which has grossed approximately USD 2.26 billion worldwide, including revenue from its 2012 re-release. With the Spider-Man film continuing to rake in the big bucks, it could overtake James Cameron’s 1997 blockbuster within the next week or so.Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ remains the highest-grossing film of all time with approximately USD 2.9 billion worldwide, including its various re-releases. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ follows with USD 2.79 billion, while ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ ranks third with around USD 2.33 billion.The 2025 Chinese animated fantasy film ‘Ne Zha 2’ is fourth with approximately USD 2.27 billion.Set four years after the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, ‘Brand New Day’ follows a more isolated Peter Parker as he continues his life as Spider-Man while keeping tabs on Ned and MJ from a distance. His routine is disrupted when a seemingly unstoppable new threat emerges in New York, forcing him to confront his past.
