Stuntman: Hollywood lets you race through iconic movie sets.

The 2000s-era Stuntman game franchise is making a rather unlikely comeback. Publisher Saber Interactive today (3 June) revealed a sequel to 2007’s Stuntman: Ignition, entitled Stuntman: Hollywood. The game will allow players to perform stunts on iconic movie and TV sets, ranging from Fast & Furious and Miami Vice, to Knight Rider and Back to the Future.

Watch the reveal trailer below:

Stuntman: Hollywood

Release date: TBA

Price: TBA

Developer: Saber Interactive

What is Stuntman: Hollywood?

Stuntman: Hollywood revives the long-dormant Stuntman racing game franchise, which originally stood apart from its peers by focusing moreso on the filmmaking aspect of stunt driving, rather than racing as a sport. The game comes from Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 maker Saber Interactive, in collaboration with Universal Pictures and NBCUniversal.

The latter collabs show up in the form of licensed crossovers, allowing players to perform in-game stunts based on iconic scenes from Fast & Furious, Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, and Death Race. That means players will be able to drive vehicles like the DeLorean time machine and KITT, along with motorcycles, school buses, and other assorted vehicles.

The game will follow the player’s path as a stunt performer, with each film divided into multiple playable episodes. Episodes feature their own vehicles and gameplay twists, allowing each film to stand apart. As stunt performers, players will be tasked with pulling off tricks like crashing through obstacles, dodging fire, or riding on two wheels, while staying on a timer.

The game will also allow players to perform their own free stunts for more stylistic flair. Stars will be awarded based on how well players pull off required and free stunts. Episodes will also include tougher challenges, giving players more tasks to take on. Players will be able to check out their progress in the Garage, which includes items, trophies, and keepsakes.

Stuntman: Hollywood will also include side content in the form of B-roll episodes, short filler films, and stunt arenas. The game does not have a release date yet.
