Tate McRae first went viral as a thirteen-year-old finalist on So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation in 2016 — a foundation in dance that still shapes how she stages her live shows. By 2020, her self-written ballad “you broke me first” had exploded on TikTok and earned a top-ten placement on the Billboard Hot 100, making her one of the youngest solo artists to chart there that year.
She has since released three studio albums — i used to think i could fly (2022), Think Later (2023), and So Close to What (2025) — anchored by global hits “greedy,” “exes,” and “It’s ok i’m ok.” Think Later debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and produced her first No. 1 on the Pop Airplay chart, while her 2024–25 Think Later World Tour packed arenas across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia and confirmed her as one of pop’s defining new headliners.
