The summer’s most highly anticipated film, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, finally lands in theaters on July 17th, 2026! The stunning adaptation of Homer’s epic poem was filmed in iconic landscapes in Greece, Italy, Morocco, Scotland, Iceland… and our very own Universal Studios Hollywood.

The film’s most dramatic water sequences were filmed at Universal Studios’ famous “wet set,” and now, parkgoers will have the chance to see a few iconic large-scale props from the film on display this summer.

Universal Studios Hollywood announced the addition of an original ship from the film on the world-famous Studio Tour, already corroborated by social media posts from tour attendees this week. The experience is accompanied by “insightful footage and filmmaker interviews” on the tram monitors.

The theme park also announced that it will display the 34-foot-tall Trojan Horse from the film, which visitors can see on Universal CityWalk Hollywood in front of the Universal Cinema AMC starting in July.

A Redditor posted about The Odyssey filming on Universal Studios’ wet set back at the end of July 2025, spotting the iconic “period ship with the red sails.”

Nolan filmed water sequences at Universal Studios Hollywood’s famous Falls Lake, a massive outdoor water tank that’s been an active film set since 1926. Hollywood productions have used it for decades to simulate open-ocean sequences in films like Jaws, The Truman Show, Jurassic Park installments, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, and Inception.
