L.A. County has no shortage of ways to spend a day outside, from night markets and outdoor movie screenings to block parties that turn familiar corners into temporary playgrounds. And this winter, West Hollywood is bringing live music back to one of the city’s most iconic stretches with a massive free concert on the Sunset Strip.

What you need to know about Live On Sunset

On Saturday, November 14, 2026, Live On Sunset will transform Sunset Boulevard between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard into a pedestrian-friendly music destination. The event is free to attend, although registration is required.

The street closure will cover roughly four blocks of the Sunset Strip, the same stretch historically used for the Sunset Strip Music Festival’s outdoor street celebrations. The event will feature one main stage with live performances, plus outdoor activations, food and beverage offerings, and fan experiences spread throughout the corridor, though the artist lineup has not been announced yet.

The festival comes after a particularly busy year for music on the Strip, with pop-up performances from artists including Justin Bieber, Sofi Tukker and DJ D-Nice helping bring live music into the spotlight.

A new chapter for an old Sunset Strip tradition

If the setup sounds familiar, that’s because WeHo has done this before. The Sunset Strip Music Festival ran from 2008 through 2014, bringing outdoor stages and performances to Sunset Boulevard while venues including The Roxy, Whisky a Go Go and the Viper Room participated.

At its 2011 edition, the street festival stretched between Doheny and San Vicente and drew more than 17,000 fans, with performances from Mötley Crüe, Bush, Public Enemy, Matt & Kim and others.

Now, Live On Sunset is bringing that street-festival energy back to the boulevard, this time as a free one-day event designed to celebrate the Strip’s long-running role in local music history.
