Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek and Justin Berfield reunite after two decades for Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, a four-episode revival of Linwood Boomer’s seven-season sitcom, which ran from 2000 to 2006. The 2026 limited series, also created by Boomer, drops in entirety on Friday, April 10, exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, the latter being the most cost-effective streaming option (more on that below).

At a Glance: How to Watch Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair

For a cost comparison, both a Hulu and Disney+ subscription, on their own, start at $11.99 per month (or $23.98 monthly total), whereas the Hulu, Disney+ bundle starts at $12.99 per month. This means that for just $1 more, customers can get both services instead of one, a savings of 46 percent.

For another way to bundle and save, DirecTV’s signature packages include Hulu, Disney+ and dozens of TV channels and DTV is currently offering a five-day free trial, meaning new subscribers can watch the entire miniseries (and everything else the streamer has to offer) at no cost. Following the trial period, packages start at $59.99 per month, on sale for a limited time.

Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair will stream exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. All four episodes in the miniseries drop on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET. The original series is also available to watch on-demand on Hulu/Disney+.

For deal-savvy streamers, there are a number of ways to watch the show for free or at a discount. First, new subscribers can stream the reboot at no cost with a 30-day trial to Hulu’s ad-supported base plan, which regularly costs $11.99 per month. For the best bang for your buck, opt for the Hulu and Disney+ bundle, starting at $12.99 per month for the ad-supported base plan, just $1 more than each of the streaming services on their own.
