Hamilton was the highest grossing show last week, bringing in $2 million, followed by MJ with $1.85 million, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child with $1.8 million, The Lion King with $1.7 million and new musical The Lost Boys, which has been selling well post-Tonys, with $1.1 million.

Hamilton also had the highest ticket price of the week, with average paid admission of $204.66.

Labor Day weekend fell within the week, but seemed to have little impact on the gross. Overall industry gross was up 2 percent with attendance down 1.3 percent. The industry was also down one show, after the closure of Moulin Rouge! on Aug. 30.

In its first week post opening, Paranormal Activity brought in $790,991 across eight performances, with capacity coming in at close to 98 percent.

Oh, Mary! continues to sell well as Meg Stalter approaches the final weeks of her run, which ends Sept. 12. The play brought in close to $1.2 million, with 100 percent capacity. Bowen Yang takes over Sept. 15.

Attendance at The Rocky Horror Show, which had already been high, has been ticking up slightly in the past two weeks, with the musical playing to 99 percent capacity last week and bringing in $785,875.
