The Hollywood Reporter is pleased to invite attendees of the upcoming Cannes Film Festival to a very special event: a live recording of THR’s Awards Chatter podcast with the legendary actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

The hour-long career retrospective interview, which will be followed by a reception, will take place on Thursday, May 14, in Meta House, Meta’s new activation space within the Majestic hotel along the Croisette. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and the event will begin promptly at 10 a.m.

Given the venue’s limited space, those wishing to attend are encouraged to RSVP as soon as possible via this link and to arrive on time.

Louis-Dreyfus is, of course, best known for her comedic talents. A recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2018 and the National Medal of Arts in 2021, she shares with Cloris Leachman the record for most Emmy wins for acting — eight — which came for her work on the TV comedy series Seinfeld, The New Adventures of Old Christine and Veep.

But she is coming to Cannes for the world premiere of a powerful new dramedy on which she was a producer and a star: Tangles, Leah Nelson’s animated feature directorial debut, which centers on a young woman and her mother (voiced by Louis-Dreyfus), who is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. The film’s other stars include Bryan Cranston, Abbi Jacobson, Seth Rogen, Pamela Adlon, Beanie Feldstein, Sarah Silverman, Samira Wiley, Wanda Sykes and Bowen Yang.

Awards Chatter recently turned 10 years old and posted its 600th episode. Other past guests have included Martin Scorsese, Bruce Springsteen, Oprah Winfrey, Harrison Ford, Elton John, Barbra Streisand, Jerry Seinfeld, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, James Cameron, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Lawrence, Sean Penn, Snoop Dogg, Julia Roberts, Michael B. Jordan, Norman Lear, Sophia Loren, George Clooney, Will Smith, Carol Burnett, Robert De Niro, Dwayne Johnson, Angelina Jolie, Quentin Tarantino, Kevin Hart, Margot Robbie, Lorne Michaels, Seth Rogen, Kate Winslet, David Letterman, Lady Gaga, Eddie Murphy, Will Ferrell, Natalie Portman, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bono, Dolly Parton, Daniel Craig, Nicole Kidman, Spike Lee, Audra McDonald, Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Denzel Washington, Ariana Grande, Kevin Costner, Jane Fonda, Tom Hanks, Olivia Rodrigo, Quincy Jones, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet, Tina Fey, Adam Sandler, Ken Burns, Malala Yousafzai, Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Jane Goodall, Kobe Bryant, Gloria Steinem and Buzz Aldrin.
