Universal has confirmed that Evil Dead Burn Halloween Horror Nights houses are heading to both of its U.S. resorts this fall. The attraction opens August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood, running select nights at each park through November 1. It arrives as one of the later houses revealed for the 2026 season.

Inside the Story Universal Confirmed

Universal frames the house as inspired by Evil Dead Burn, walking guests through what it calls the film’s most frightening moments. The route begins at the Price family’s secluded vacation home in the woods, then gets worse from there.

From there the Book of the Dead does what it always does. The Necronomicon unleashes the parasitic evil that possesses and twists its victims into Deadites, and the official description points to ferocious Deadites around every turn. Guests eventually stop being witnesses and start succumbing to the evil forces themselves. Universal has locked in the setting and the broad arc while keeping the specific scares to itself.

Where Evil Dead Burn Fits in the Franchise

Evil Dead started in 1981 as a scrappy independent feature and grew into one of the most recognizable names in horror. The series runs on a mix of extreme gore and dark comedy, anchored every time by the Book of the Dead. Evil Dead Burn is New Line Cinema’s latest entry and the sixth film in that lineage. A haunted house is a logical next stop for a series built on people trapped somewhere remote with a book that will not stop talking.

The property has stayed busy for years, from Fede Alvarez’s 2013 reboot to the Starz series Ash vs Evil Dead and 2023’s Evil Dead Rise, which dragged the curse out of the woods and into a crumbling apartment building. Halloween Horror Nights has long turned horror films into walkthrough mazes, so a franchise this physical and this bloody is a natural fit. The difference this time is that guests are the ones walking into the Price house instead of watching someone else do it.

Evil Dead Burn Halloween Horror Nights Dates and Tickets

At Universal Orlando Resort, HHN runs from Friday, August 28 through Sunday, November 1, and tickets are on sale now. Orlando’s Fear Pass options include the Rush of Fear, Frequent Fear, Frequent Fear Plus and Ultimate Frequent Fear Pass. There is also a Scream Early add-on that opens Universal Studios Florida at 2 p.m. with early access to select houses. Annual, Seasonal and Premier Passholders have their own deals on select August and September nights.

Universal Studios Hollywood runs its event from Thursday, September 3 through Sunday, November 1. Ticket choices there include General Admission, Universal Express, the R.I.P. Tour, Day/Night and After 2 P.M. Day/Night options, plus an Early Access Ticket that opens select houses at 5:30 p.m. The Frequent Fear Pass and Ultimate Fear Pass cover repeat visits across the season. Limited merchandise tied to the house, including a shirt, a hat and an acrylic figure for the infernal carnival display, is rolling out at both parks.

Universal says more houses and event details are coming, so this is the opening move rather than the full 2026 card. For now the pitch is clean. A cursed book, a cabin in the woods and a fresh film to draw from. The open question is whether the house commits to the gore or the gallows humor that has kept this series standing for more than forty years, and which side of Evil Dead you would want waiting behind the door.
