The 16th annual Hollywood Fringe Festival will bring hundreds of emerging performing artists to the stage with original theatrical productions throughout the month of June.

This year, the festival will feature over 480 shows at over 35 venues across L.A. from June 11 to 28, beginning with its opening night party on June 10 and culminating in an awards ceremony held on June 29. Previews will run June 4 to 9 before the official festival kicks off. Tickets are available at the Hollywood Fringe website, and 100% of box office sales will go to the artists and venues.

From clownery and experimental performance art to dramatic plays commenting on real issues facing Angelenos today, the Hollywood Fringe has something for everyone. Here are some highlights of the 2026 lineup.

For Fans of the Absurd:

Syrian Soap

Edib Farhan is a standup comedian and clown whose new solo show takes place in an intergalactic bathhouse in the afterlife. The show is part of The Hollywood Fringe Scholarship Program, and is one of 12 shows funded by the Hollywood Pantages Theatre and Third District Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath, according to a social media post from the Hollywood Fringe. The show is for ages 16 and up.

“Find out if you are your ancestor’s wildest dreams–or worst nightmare…he has notes! Receive channeled advice, poetry, and a surprise visit from a traditional Syrian bathroom slipper (which may or may not be a metaphor for life under fascism),” the show’s description reads.

Mark Vigeant: Out There

Mark Vigeant will bring his one-man show, Out There, to the Hollywood Fringe for the second year, after a sold-out run at last year’s festival, where it was nominated for four awards including Top of Fringe and Best Clown Show. The show follows Vigeant’s character, Larry, a “burnt-out engineer on a mission to gain viral fame by livestreaming a survival adventure from the Alaskan wilderness,” according to the show’s description.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Vigeant’s “clever use of live video, hilarious audience participation, and a ton of vulnerability … creates a portrait of a tragically ridiculous man who, unfortunately, has the time of his life.”

Burn Scar: A Comedy of Catastrophic Proportions

Burn Scar tells the story of the Palisades fire and the fallout from it, according to BroadwayWorld. Actress Christine Dunford recalls when she was forced to evacuate her home on the morning of January 7, 2025.

“What followed was a string of Airbnb’s with couches that all seemed to be stained in the same place, a deep dive into the wine selection at Trader Joe’s and exposure to insurance fuckery of such epic proportions that it seemed a perfect mirror to the ascendance of cruelty we’re seeing in the greater American landscape,” the description of the show reads.

In the show, Dunford recounts how her experience spurred her to have a reckoning about how to move forward with a renewed faith in humanity.

Dunford has had an extensive career in television, appearing in shows such as Arrested Development, Two and a Half Men and Seinfeld.

What Survives

Triple threat Rachael Meyers is the writer, director and one of the stars of “What Survives,” a play about a community reckoning with a 10-year-old girl being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in their neighborhood.

“What Survives was birthed out of my emotional vexation with what’s going on in the world right now, and the daily collision of feeling all at once entirely helpless and vehemently driven to create change,” Meyers told BroadwayWorld. “It’s the most fearless piece I’ve written.”

Meyers is best known for her role on The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and has been seen on Fresh Off the Boat and Veronica Mars, according to her website.

“It’s just your typical comedic noir magic show, packed with capers, laughs, twists and totally non-suspicious mind games,” the show’s description reads. “Not a femme fatale spy on a top-secret mission that innocent bystanders might incidentally be drawn into.”
