Madonna sent West Hollywood into meltdown on Saturday night (25.04.26) after unexpectedly showing up at The Abbey for an invite-only event billed as Club Confessions Los Angeles.

The Queen of Pop arrived just after 1am, stepping into the DJ booth alongside long-time collaborator Stuart Price — the producer behind her 2005 Confessions on a Dance Floor album and the eagerly anticipated sequel — with Addison Rae joining the pair as the crowd erupted.

Romy of The xx and Mez Monty had already taken the stage earlier in the night, but the atmosphere shifted the moment Madonna grabbed the mic.

Greeting the packed room with trademark theatrical flair, she shouted: “Hello children, mutha is here to save you. Are you ready to dance for me? Come on, meet me on the dancefloor. Alright, let’s go gays, come on! Don’t let me down, gays. Gay for the gays! Whoo!”

Price kept the energy high by spinning the lead single from Confessions II, I Feel So Free, before unveiling two unreleased tracks — including one titled Freedom.

He also dropped a fresh mix of Hung Up, nodding to the original Confessions on a Dance Floor era that Madonna is revisiting.

Addison Rae, wearing a Catwoman eye mask, amped up the room during I Feel So Free, and, in a viral clip, was seen hogging the microphone as The Queen of Pop tried to grab it back from her.

The pop icon’s nightclub cameo arrives as fans eagerly await news of her next tour.

Her manager, Guy Oseary, recently clarified comments made in a Variety interview, insisting he had been misquoted.

After the article was amended, he told fans via Instagram Stories: “Of course she will tour again. She wants to share her music with her fans. Not sure yet the plans. Stay tuned!”

Madonna’s last run, The Celebration Tour, wrapped in May 2024, and speculation about her return to the road has intensified following her surprise appearance at Coachella.

She reunited with Sabrina Carpenter onstage — 20 years after her first Coachella performance — to duet on Vogue, Like A Prayer, and a new track from Confessions II.

The upcoming album marks her 15th studio release and her first since 2019’s Madame X.

It also follows her renewed partnership with Warner Records, a reunion she described as a homecoming.

As she said last year: “Since the beginning Warner Records has been a real partner with me. I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations.”

Confessions II is released on July 3.
