English trip hop group Massive Attack are under investigation by Singapore authorities after voicing support for Palestine during a recent show in the country, according to reports from the BBC and Channel News Asia.

Massive Attack played a concert in Singapore on Wednesday, and photos published in Channel News Asia showed the group holding up a Palestine flag, with the outlet reporting that the band shouted “Free Palestine” as well.

Authorities also told the BBC that “reports were lodged and investigations are ongoing.”

As the BBC notes, Singapore has policies barring “public display of foreign national emblems,” including flags, without prior permitting. The punishment is as much as about $400 or six months in jail.

A rep for the group couldn’t be reached.

Massive Attack are known for their political activism and have been particularly vocal in their support for Palestine, with frontman Robert Del Naja getting arrested in London back in April over his participation at a protest linked to Palestine Action, which is proscribed in the U.K. Massive Attack are one of many groups who signed on for the No Music For Genocide movement, alongside the likes of Geese, Lucy Dacus, Hayley Williams and Rina Sawayama among more.

The Israel-Gaza conflict remains one of the most divisive topics in entertainment; On the other side, Boy George caught significant controversy this week after releasing an AI-generated, pro-Israel song that denied calling the conflict a genocide. Amid the controversy, the “Karma Chameleon” singer dropped out of an upcoming London production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
