Miley Cyrus has announced her tenth studio album, ‘Bass Persuades’, alongside two headline shows at the Hollywood Bowl.

The record is set to arrive on September 18 and will mark her first release through Atlantic Records. Pre-order/pre-save your copy here.

It comes alongside the news that the singer will now be billed simply as Miley, and announcing the record, she wrote on social media: “My tenth studio album, ‘Bass Persuades’, is yours September 18th. Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong.”

“Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me. Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album.”

Miley will celebrate the release with two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and 18. She will be joined by Model/Actriz and she has described the venue as “my favorite place to experience music and see my favorite artists”.

An American Express pre-sale begin at 10am local time next Tuesday (September 8), followed by the artist pre-sale at 10am the next day (September 9), for which you can sign up here. Tickets will go on general sale at 10am on September 10, and you will be able to get yours here.

The Hollywood Bowl dates are notable given that Cyrus said last year that she still had no “desire” to tour, explaining that performing extensive runs of shows made it difficult to maintain her mental wellbeing.

“I do have the physical ability and I have the opportunities to tour,” she said at the time. “I wish I had the desire, but I don’t.”

‘Bass Persuades’ will follow the singer’s ninth studio album, ‘Something Beautiful’, which arrived in May last year.

In a four-star review, NME wrote: “‘Something Beautiful’ is sprawling and apparently unperturbed by contemporary chart trends. While ‘Something Beautiful’ probably isn’t Cyrus’s most hit-packed album, it does feel like a fully realised artistic statement.”

In other news, Miley received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May, where she committed to “continuing the cycle full of creation”.

Her new era also arrives days after the death of Miley’s godmother, Dolly Parton, who passed away at the age of 80 on August 25.

In a personal tribute to the country star, she recalled that one of their final conversations had been about “music and metamorphosis”.

“The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share,” she wrote. “Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour and between our hearts.”

Miley added: “What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have.”
