For four decades, the City of West Hollywood has been home to one of the nation’s largest Pride celebrations. Each year, hundreds of thousands of LGBTQ+ people and allies from around the world make West Hollywood their destination during Pride.

WeHo Pride will kick off on Harvey Milk Day, Friday, May 22, with the José Sarria Drag Pageant. The WeHo Pride Arts Festival will take place Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24. WeHo Pride Weekend will take place Friday, June 5 through Sunday, June 7, and will include the free: WeHo Pride Street Fair; WeHo Pride Presents Friday Night at OUTLOUD; the Women’s Freedom Festival; the Dyke March; and the iconic WeHo Pride Parade; along with the ticketed OUTLOUD Music Festival at WeHo Pride.

Incorporated in 1984, the City of West Hollywood has become one of the nation’s most influential cities in advancing LGBTQ+ equality. Few cities of its size have had a greater impact on national public policy discussions surrounding fairness and inclusion for LGBTQ+ people. Home to the “Rainbow District” along Santa Monica Boulevard — a vibrant corridor of historic LGBTQ+ clubs, restaurants, and retail shops — West Hollywood consistently ranks among the most LGBTQ-friendly cities in the United States. Follow @RainbowDistrictWeHo for year-round programming.

More than 40 percent of West Hollywood residents identify as LGBTQ+, and four of the five members of the West Hollywood City Council are openly LGBTQ+. The City has championed policies that support LGBTQ+ people and it continues to lead efforts to advance and protect equality at the local, state, national, and international levels. #WeHoPride @WeHoCity
