The world-famous Hollywood Bowl amphitheater in Los Angeles, California, will be hosting the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square for two nights of its “Songs of Hope Benefit Concert” this June.

Tickets for the concert — to be performed June 24 and 25 — will be available for purchase starting this Friday, April 17, on the Hollywood Bowl venue’s website, per a press release published Monday by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The two nights of benefit concerts at the Hollywood Bowl will mark a “historic return,” as they will be held in the 100th anniversary year of the Tabernacle Choir’s first performance at the venue in 1926.

This historic return will “unite music and humanitarian purpose” in two concerts seeking to benefit women and children around the world, the church’s press release states.

“This concert represents a meaningful intersection of music and purpose,” Tabernacle Choir President Michael O. Leavitt said.

“As we return to the Hollywood Bowl, we do so not only to celebrate a historic moment, but to invite others to participate in efforts that uplift and strengthen families and communities.”

One hundred percent of ticket sale revenues from the June concerts will be donated to charities such as CARE, Helen Keller Intl and The Hunger Project, according to the church’s release.

“These charities work to improve maternal and child health, expand access to nutrition and education and provide safe and supportive environments for women and children,” the church’s release states.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be matching the concert ticket sales, “thereby doubling the charitable contributions associated with the event,” the release adds.

In recent years, the Tabernacle Choir has sought to expand its global reach through its “Songs of Hope” world tour, which has included performances in Mexico City, Mexico; Manila, Philippines; Lima, Peru; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Guest artists to accompany the more than 500-member Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl this June will be announced at a later date, per the church’s recent press release.
